TDP Slams Jagan For Not Hoisting Flag

TDP slams Jagan Independence Day

The Telugu Desam Party has strongly criticised YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy for not hoisting the national flag on August 15. The party took to social media platform X and expressed its objection, targeting the former Chief Minister’s absence on Independence Day.

TDP leaders said that while the entire country celebrated the occasion with pride, Jagan remained indoors. According to them, he stayed in his residence and avoided participating in the national event, which they claim reflects disregard for patriotic responsibility.

The party further stated that as an ex Chief Minister and YSRCP president, his absence created nationwide controversy. They alleged that he did not even step out to mark India’s freedom from colonial rule or sing the national anthem Jana Gana Mana.

Party leaders also remarked that Jagan appeared to be the only major political leader who failed to take part in Independence Day events. Netizens linked his silence to the recent loss in the Pulivendula ZPTC polls, suggesting that the defeat may have discouraged him from public appearances.
