The number of young techies committing suicide are increasing by the day. One such incident occured in Manikonda. 26-yr-old Venugopal committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan.
Venugopal wrote a 4-page suicide note before taking the step. He said there is corruption and pollution wherever we look. There is nothing that I can do living in this world. Hence, I am committing suicide, he wrote.
Venugopal or Guttala Venugopal belonged to Rajamahendravaram. He was living with his brother and sister-in-law in Shirdi Sai Nagar in Manikonda.
On July 23, he went to Rajamahendravaram along with his brother and sister-in-law. He returned to Manikonda on the same night. On July 24, he spoke to his mother and father. On July 25, his phone was switched off.
So, the family called the watchman. He went to the house and found the body of Venugopal hanging from the ceiling, through the window. He showed the body through video call.
The Raidurgam police were informed about the incident. The police reached the site and sent the body for post mortem. The police are investigating the case based on the complaint lodged by Venugopal’s father.
