Telangana Chief Minister KCR will be stepping into his new residence cum camp office which has come up on a nine-acre plot in Begumpet on 24th of this month. It has costed 50 Crore to the State Exchequer. The building is comprising three blocks with a built-up area totaling one lakh square feet and with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Roads and Buildings (R&B) department took up the construction. The Building started with 33 Crore estimation and finally ended up costing 50 Crore. The cost escalation was a result of additions in the buildings to meet Vaastu requirements and revised interior plans.
The Telangana Chief Minister had decided on this new construction as he believes that the present camp office is not Vaastu compliant. He is even reluctant to move into the existing camp office soon after he assumed charge because of Vaastu defects in the building. On the other side, the state government has put the plans of a new secretariat aside for now as the fall-out from the currency demonetisation taking center stage in government affairs.
