Tricksters and frauds are now taking this opportunity to loot the common public in the disguise of police.
Incidentally, a group, posing as fake police officers looted a jeweler at the Punjagutta signal area while using a police car in disguise.
Going into the story, a group of fraudsters, posing as police checked a car at Punjagutta signal. A jeweler from Begum Bazar was traveling in the car and he was carrying cash of Rs 18 lakh. The fake police then acted like they were seizing the money.
The jeweler then went to the police station regarding the incident, and to his shock, he found that he was tricked by fake police.
It is established that the fake police had planned the sketch and it is believed that an actual police constable is involved with the same. They have reportedly fled with the cash towards Champapet area. The police are trying to track down the culprits.
