The Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to shift some operations to temporary capital by June may not materialize as the construction companies have informed the government that it would not be possible to construct temporary offices with prefabricated frames by June.
The Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh had invited proposals from reputed architects for the construction of the temporary capital and said to have got this disappointing decision. According to the companies, they will need one month for the Master plan and later will take at least three months to complete the construction which means the capital will be ready by July or August if the plan is approved by May.
AP government wants to set up an office space of 5 Lakh Sq feet at the Amaravathi Township which will house the Temporary capital. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also likely to shift to this Temporary capital to personally supervise the capital construction planned on World class standards.
