Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that there is no caste or religion for criminals and urged Home Minister Anita and state police officials to take immediate action against them.
He expressed his distress over the recent sexual assault cases and urged Home Minister Anita to take responsibility for these issues. He stated that the situation would be different if he were the Home Minister.

Speaking in Gollaprolu today, Pawan said, “It is not like I couldn’t ask for the Home Minister post. If I were in charge of the Home Ministry, things would be very different. Criminals should be punished like how Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath did in his state.”
He added, “Anita garu, you are the Home Minister. I’m just the Panchayat Raj and Forest & Environment Minister. You should take responsibility as the Home Minister. If I take charge as Home Minister, things would be different. If things don’t change, I might take on the responsibility of the Home Ministry in the future.”

Pawan issued a warning to criminals, saying, “If you don’t control yourselves, we will take action for sure.” He further warned police officials by stating, “DGP sir and Intelligence officials, people are criticizing us. We gave you clear instructions regarding the safety of women, yet nothing has changed. Officials are ready to arrest leaders like Pawan Kalyan immediately, but they are not ready to arrest criminals.”
Pawan Kalyan’s statements have now caused ripples in the Andhra Pradesh political landscape. Despite Anita being part of his government, Pawan made comments today against her and the police system.
