In the view of Macharla incident, the Election Commission decided to provide tight security for the counting of votes on June 4. Three-level security is being deployed at the counting centres.

Mukesh Kumar Meena ordered to setup media points at counting centres. He asked officials to inform contestants and agents about counting information prior. He also asked the security personnel to set barricades at counting centres.

The EVM counting will be started only after postal ballots are counted. The EC also asked to upload details of results as soon as possible in the Encore web application. Unauthorised people and individuals without any identity card will not be allowed near counting centres.
