A drone in Tirumala created a major buzz about security at the sacred Hindu temple. The drone managed to pass through the 3 layered security checks and was brought in by a devotee.
After crossing the Alipiri security check, the devotee operated the drone near the Tirumala silatoranam in full public view. Other devotees noticed it and immediately alerted the vigilance officials.
The vigilance team took the person into custody and informed senior officials. The individual operating the drone was identified as a NRI. Officials are now checking the visuals captured by the drone. Once the preliminary inquiry is complete, the person will be handed over to the police.
The incident has angered devotees, who are shocked that someone could pass through three layers of security without detection. Tirumala has witnessed drone sightings in the past, which led to strict rules declaring it a no drone zone due to high level security concerns.
