TS Elections: Hard Time For Voters In LB Nagar

LB Nagar, the third-largest constituency in Greater Hyderabad and fourth-largest in the entire state, is poised for a significant electoral showdown in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections on November 30.

Boasting over 5.93 lakh voters, a majority under 50 years old, the constituency has experienced a robust 48% increase in voter strength since the last elections, indicating a vigorous phase of voter enrollment.

Comprising seven Assembly segments of the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency, LB Nagar faces a triangular contest among the BRS, Congress, and BJP.

With 48 candidates vying for victory, LB Nagar has the highest number of contestants in Telangana, necessitating the use of a maximum of four ballot units in the upcoming polls.

Each electronic voting machine (EVM) ballot unit is designed to accommodate up to 16 candidates, and one option for NOTA. Therefore, in LB Nagar, with 48 candidates, four units are necessary. Voters will be having a hard time out find out the symbol of the party they want to vote for.

LB Nagar, falling under the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha segment, encompasses areas such as BN Reddy Nagar, Meerpet, Veerannagutta, Hayatnagar, and Sagar Ring Road.
