
Two Expensive BMW cars which were seized by the Forest Department officials went missing. AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan ordered the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) to provide a report on missing expensive BMW cars that were seized from red sanders smugglers.
Getting into details, forest officers had seized two expensive BMW cars from red Sanders smugglers in the past. In 2017, one of those cars was allocated to the Forest Department’s Chief Secretary. At that time, Anant Ram held the position and continued until June 2019.

Later, the car was assumed by the then Chief Secretary of the current government, Neerab Kumar Prasad. He served in the position from June 2019 to October 2020 and again from February 2022 to June 2024.
Currently, the post has been reassumed by Anant Ram. Apart from these two, Adityanath Das and GSRKR Vijayakumar also served in these positions during the remaining periods between 2017 and 2024.

Meanwhile, the whereabouts of this vehicle are unknown. Rumours in the Forest Department suggest that the car is being used by an IAS officer’s wife in Hyderabad. However, there is no clarity on who currently has possession of the vehicle.
Another BMW car, seized from smugglers in February 2015, is also missing. It was allocated to the Additional Secretary of the then Forest Minister, but its current location is unknown.

Also, an Innova car seized in July 2023 also went missing. It was allocated to Neerab Kumar at that time.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has sought information about all these missing vehicles and ordered the PCCF to submit a detailed report on the matter.
