In the latest charge-sheet filed by the CBI, Umareddy also confirmed that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was informed about the news of YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder in the early hours of that day. He mentioned that YSRCP Manifesto Committee meetings were usually held at YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s house in Hyderabad between four and five in the morning.

On that particular day, a similar meeting was taking place when someone entered the meeting room and informed them about the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy. Umareddy testified before the CBI officials on May 18, 2023 providing information about the events of that day. The CBI has been collecting statements from the members of the Manifesto Committee regarding the day YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came to know about his uncle Vivekananda Reddy’s death.

Due to the passage of time and old age, Umareddy occasionally forgets the details of who entered the meeting room to share the news. Nevertheless, Jagan Mohan Reddy left the meeting immediately after hearing about his uncle’s demise.
