The Biggest Success of Telangana Government till date is ensuring no power cuts in the Power-Starved State. The state is resorting to costly power purchases to achieve that. But this summer all of sudden out of nowhere, power cuts have returned to Hyderabad.

Many areas in the city are experiencing unscheduled power cuts for 2-3 hours in a day. But then Transco officials say there are no power cuts and they have enough power to meet the increasing power demand. They say the power cuts may be due to repairs to transformers, line clearance and cutting of trees in some areas.
But then in such cases, advance notice is given about a power cut when this work is being done but then the power cuts are so frequent and totally uninformed giving rise to doubts, unscheduled power cuts are enforced. If it is true, we are yet to enter the Summer and coming days will be very tough.
