BJP has got a huge shock right in its backyard. The saffron party is losing the by-elections of two Loksabha constituencies – Ghorakpur and Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh. Incidentally, both these constituencies are vacated by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Ghorakpur is the home turf of CM Yogi Adityanath and this defeat will come as a big shock. BJP has won 71 seats out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014 General Elections and it has to repeat the same if it has to come back to Power in 2019 Elections.
Narendra Modi and Amit Shah duo are already messing up with allies across the country. Things will get difficult for BJP if similar results come up in the General Elections. Congress is known for stitching alliances anyway to come to Power.
