The Tamil film industry must be very proud about the fact that one of their own has become the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu in the form of Thalapathy Vijay.
So it is only natural that the film industry would be expecting great things from Vijay in terms of allocations and adequate permissions.
The first and foremost need for the Tamil film industry is for the government to permit special shows in the early morning hours. The previous governments had been very strict about show timings as no film show was permitted before 9 AM in Tamil Nadu for the last decade.
This has been a major concern for the film industry and now that Vijay has become the chief minister, he is someone who understands the issue at the fundamental.
So now the industry would be expecting Vijay to be acting accordingly and grant the permission for early shows, which would help the whole industry, particularly the big hero films.
But at the same time, Vijay must be careful about the law and order issue as any abnormalities here will bring a lot of public backlash on him, which is something he wouldn’t want in his first tenure as the chief minister.
The first big Tamil film to release under Thalapathy Vijay’s rule is Karuppu featuring Suriya and it shall be interesting to see how lenient the government would be towards the same.
