One of the infamous things that previous chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan extensively did was targeting Pawan Kalyan at a personal capacity.
There are multiple occasions when Jagan crossed the personal line and spoke publicly about Pawan Kalyan by using the “three wives” topic to defame the Jana Sena chief.
This was an ugly campaign that was set in motion by Jagan and extensively carried by his fellow YSR Congress leaders as well. It eventually fizzled out with the people of AP or rightly backing PK more than Jagan but it was an ugly jab nevertheless.
Now a similar scenario is being observed in Tamil Nadu, where the opposition leader Uday Stalin and his DMK leaders are using “Trisha” topic to target Chief minister Vijay.
Several DMK leaders had already commented that Vijay was very comfortable in house and used to have fun with Trisha but is facing the brunt in Tamil Nadu after winning the polls. This invited a lot of public backlash already.
Now something unnecessary happened at the public event that was attended by Uday Stalin today as DMK supporters kept shouting “Trisha Trisha” which he was delivering the speech. Rather than condemning this, Udhay ended up smiling at it, which added more fuel to the fire.
It is not just unprofessional but also personally detrimental to bring up such personal topics in public platforms, and this has nothing to do with a person or how he behaves. It is the political deliverables that matter and Vijay can be targeted all day on this.
This trend was first started in Andhra Pradesh with YCP ecosystem using three waves narrative against Pawan and it appears to have rubbed into Tamil Nadu now.
