Former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made it a habit to turn all of his earlier supporters into his enemies. The fact that he is not in good terms with his own mother, Vijayamma and sister Sharmila is indicative of the situation.
Now Jagan appears to have found another problem in the form of Vijaya Sai Reddy. This senior politician who was with YCP for many years, came out and announced his new party that would be active in the 2029 assembly election.
More importantly, the senior politician commented that the YCP must stop poking him or else he would be revealing more shocking details about the party and its chief Jagan.
Earlier, Jagan had found a grave enemy in the form of Sharmila before the 2024 assembly election. She repeatedly spoke about how her brother cheated her in property distribution, and also helped the people who killed their own Babai Vivekananda Reddy.
This narrative that was carried by Sharmila and Sunita showed a significant impact on the YCP and played its part in the remarkable downfall of Jagan.
Now it can perhaps be categorised that Sai Reddy is a bigger threat than Sharmila when it comes to damaging the political reputation of Jagan.
Needless to say, Sai Reddy has first hand information on the financial irregularities during the Jagan regime and he’s also one of the main men associated with the financial matters of Jagan. So any bit of detail that comes out from Sai Reddy will have strong consequences on the image of Jagan, who already has a financial misdemeanour.
This should essentially mean that priority could prove to be one of the detrimental factors for Jagan in the 2029 assembly election facing this is not going to be easy for the YCP chief.
