However, things have changed drastically in the recent past after Vijaya Sai Reddy has quit YSR Congress.
Vijay Sai has launched straightforward attack against Jagan and his communal politics, and this has instantly gained the attention on social media.
Sai Reddy mentioned Jagan and YCP while questioning “Where are Ravanas and Prakash Rajs being born from? Who is supporting them?
To which culture are they belonging? Who are their fathers, grandfathers? Where are their roots?
Vijay Sai stated that these people belong to different religious faiths apart from Hindutva and they are to be treated as such. He pointed out that this is a point of concern for the Hindu community, and they must be strongly prepared for the same.
The YSR Congress Party directly supporting and highlighting Ravana and Prakash Raj means this is directly an attack they are making on our Hindutva, on our Sanatana Dharma, on our deities, on our country, Vijaya Sai tweeted.
The fact that Vijaya Sai himself has publicly said Jagan is playing communal and religious politics by supporting people like Ravan and Prakash Raj perhaps reflects the prevailing political and communal equation in Andhra Pradesh.
If this is the impression of a person who was so very close to Jagan for many decades, then one can only wonder what would be the reaction from the common public.
