The campaign in Andhra Pradesh is going to end this evening. The state would go to polls on the 13th of this month.
The Opposition turned the tables in the last couple of months and was able to create a perception that they are winning.
What looked like an easy re-election for Jagan a few months ago has come down to many people saying it will be a wave election in favor of TDP+.
There is a sea of people coming from other states and countries to Andhra Pradesh to cast their votes indicating that people are angry and determined.
Meanwhile, an old video of Chandrababu is going rounds on Social Media.
It is the video dated November 21st, 2021 when Chandrababu was insulted in the Assembly after YSR Congress abused his wife, Bhuvaneshwari.
The Speaker refused to give Mike to Chandrababu. Chandrababu Naidu declared he would only return to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly as Chief Minister, as he had been insulted and humiliated inside the august building.
Since then, only TDP MLAs attended the Assembly.
The video was captured on a mobile phone of a TDP MLA and went viral back then.
The video is going viral once again motivating the TDP supporters.
Later Naidu was also arrested in a flimsy case and was sent to jail for more than 50 days. That adds one more reason for the TDP’s rank and file to take a vow to defeat Jagan at any cost.
Naidu’s challenge is not the first of its kind. In 2012 the late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa vowed not to return to the Assembly – after alleging humiliation and assault inside – unless she was re-elected as the CM.
In the subsequent election, Jayalalithaa won and entered the Assembly.
TDP supporters say the history will repeat itself in the case of Chandrababu Naidu.
