The YCP leaders and agents have been creating disturbances across the state during the polling. Since morning, many incidents were reported where YCP leaders have been causing disturbances at the polling stations.
Earlier this morning, YCP’s Tenali MLA contestant, Annabathuni Sivakumar had slapped a voter at his polling booth. The voter quickly reacted and slapped Sivakumar back, resulting in a tense atmosphere at the polling station.
Sivakumar tried to jump the queue to cast the vote. A common voter, Sudhakar (55), who was in the queue, questioned Sivakumar regarding the same. Enraged by the voter’s question, Sivakumar slapped him. Sudhakar didn’t think for a second and hit Sivakumar back. Within a few minutes, this video went viral all over social media.
After bringing the situation under control, the police took Sudhakar into custody, who had sustained injuries in the incident. Rather than shifting him to the hospital, he was taken to Tenali 2-Town Police Station.
The local residents and social media users criticized the police for allegedly showing bias towards the YCP MLA candidate instead of shifting the victim to a hospital.
