
Beware! Watching porn from the comfort of your home could land you in jail. In today’s time, just about everyone has a laptop, iPad or mobile phone. So watching porn has increased manifold.
If one is sitting in a corner and watching porn or sharing videos, the police are now able to track and arrest the offenders, thanks to technology. The offenders are then being sent to jail.

According to stats, India is among the countries that has a large number of people watching porn. Due to this rapes and sexual assaults have increased. The police are trying their best to put a check on such activities.
Those watching child porn and sharing them through Facebook, Whatsapp and other social media are being closely monitored. Homeland Security Investigations, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) are collecting the IP addresses of those watching porn and giving them to Central Home department in India.

From there, the information is being distributed among crime bureaus across states. Those watching porn are being identified and arrested under POCSO act.
As the crimes against children have increased, the government is taking stringent steps against those watching child porn. Till the end of August, 2024, 520 POCSO cases took place under the limits of Hyderabad commissionerate.

This shows how grave the situation is. In a latest instance, the police arrested 5 people in Hyderabad for sharing videos of child porn. NCMEC had identified the 5 people through their gadgets.
Already, many FIRs have been registered against those watching child porn in the city.
