Where is Anil Kumar Yadav?

The NDA Alliance’s victory in the Andhra Pradesh general elections, securing 164 seats, has put YSRCP leaders on high alert, with many going underground. This includes former minister Anil Kumar, whose political future in Nellore district now appears uncertain.

Prominent leaders from the Nellore Reddy Community, including Anam Ramanaraya Reddy, Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy, and Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, have shifted their allegiance from YSRCP to TDP, citing disagreements with the previous YSRCP government’s policies.

Anil Kumar, who had previously criticized these defections, challenged their success and vowed to leave politics if he lost. With his recent electoral defeat, his promises are under scrutiny. Anil Kumar has also been implicated in significant allegations of corruption and illegal activities during his tenure, including the looting of valuable mineral wealth in Nellore district.

The TDP has previously warned of a judicial inquiry into these matters. Additionally, there have been internal conflicts, such as a reported clash between Anil Kumar and former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, further complicating his position.
