The nomination filing process has been wrapped up in Andhra Pradesh and the Election Commission has announced that 686 nominations were filed for the 25 parliamentary segments in Andhra Pradesh.
Out of this, 503 nominations were approved by the Returning Officers while the rest were rejected by for different reasons.
Coming to the constituency with most nominations, Guntur has recorded a massive 47 nominations while Srikakulam clocked the least at 16 nominations.
Coming to the assembly constituencies, 2705 nominations were approved by the ROs. Tirupati saw the highest nominations with 52 while Chidambaram had just 8.
April 29 is the last date to withdraw the nominations. The final approved list will be published only after that. The state is now set for polling on May 13.
