Sasikala Natarajan who aspired to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is all set to go behind the bars in the disproportionate assets case. She has to serve the remaining Three and half years term of the total Four years jail term she is given. On the other side, there are several politicians who are under scanner for similar allegations.

Opposition Leader of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tops the list with several cases. He already spent 16 months in Jail. In 2004 Jagan’s tax returns showed assets at Rs. 9.2 lakh, in April 2009 which is when his father became CM of the state, Jagan revealed total assets of Rs. 77 crores, and by 2011 this has allegedly increased to amount Rs. 365 crore.
Madhu Koda, the former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, Former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa (Now No More), Former Haryana Chief Minister OP Chautala and his two sons Ajay and Abhay, former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav are also accused of disproportionate assets.
All the cases of these leaders are at various stages of the investigation. Some of those cases are intentionally ‘slowed down’ to suit the political agendas of those parties ruling Delhi. But with Sasikala’s verdict, except for Jayalalithaa who is no more, the others will have a sleepless night.
