The TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is a man of action and expects his MLAs to follow his path. Of late, he has been talking quite a few times about the discipline among elected leaders.
Speaking at the organisational meeting of the party, Chandrababu said he began the process of talking one-on-one to MLAs. He shocked many TDP MLAs by saying that he had already spoken to 4 MLAs and will talk to more in the coming days.
Chandrababu also said that during the ’90s, TDP leaders and officers were scared of his arrival. Today, he had technology to track the activities of MLAs, he told the gathering.
There is talk in TDP circles that 65 MLAs completely skipped the important meeting. Out of them, 15 were said to be abroad. Others were said to be busy in other works. However, the TDP chief kept track of who attended, who didn’t and most importantly for how long.
Chandrababu warned the MLAs that they must be among people, take government schemes to people and be active. He said people no longer liked leaders who show up before elections. Neither do they fall for money, Babu pointed out. He stressed that disciplinary action will be taken on MLAs who think it’s all play and no work.
Coming back to the four MLAs Chandrababu spoke to, they are now identified as Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy, Rampachodavaram MLA Miryala Sirisha, Markapuram MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy and Giddaluru MLA Ashok Reddy.
There is a lot of talk about these 4 among the MLAs and MPs. They are inquisitive about what Babu asked and told them. Many are wondering who is on the list next. The MLAs are trying to figure out if others got calls.
In all, the TDP leaders are up on their toes before going door-to-door from July 2.
