She alleged that party leaders had taken over liquor companies, engaged in unethical practices, and raised concerns about the quality of alcohol manufacturing. High prices of alcohol and their impact on families and society were also highlighted.

Interestingly, Jagan had initially promised to implement an alcohol ban and rehabilitation centers for addiction. Purandeswari criticized him for not fulfilling these promises, suggesting he was playing games with public health.

Demanding a CBI inquiry into deaths linked to low-quality liquor, Purandeswari pledged to expose alleged corruption by CM Jagan. She called for transparency in government revenue from the liquor industry, questioning discrepancies in budget figures.

Her estimates indicate daily alcohol revenues of Rs. 160 crores, monthly revenues of Rs. 4,800 crores, and annual revenues of Rs. 56,700 crores. Surprisingly, the budget only accounts for Rs. 20,000 crores in alcohol-related income, leaving an astonishing Rs. 36,700 crores unaccounted for.
