Andhra Pradesh government is planning its upcoming capital in 50000 acres and government had pooled in more than 32000 acres from the farmers for this purpose. The remaining land will be from the government lands present in the region. However many politicians including Janasena President Pawan Kalyan have criticized the government for planning such huge capital.
While communists are saying 1000 acres are enough for the capital, Pawan Kalyan opined that 5000-8000 acres will be sufficient. However Chandrababu is adamant in his view but also says that he has a vision in mind before executing this project. It is said that the 50000 acre capital is planned keeping in mind the futuristic needs of the capital.
The government is estimating that the capital region will have a population of 1.3 Crore by 2050 and it is also planning a huge industrial hub in the CRDA region. Also they are making sure that the infrastructural needs of the capital like roads, water facilities, sewage maintenance etc should be on par with the needs of the growing population in future. And so a capital of such extent is planned.
