If Telangana Rashtra Samiti government faced a big test for its credibility, it is the last few days when heavy rains lashed Hyderabad. The roads in Hyderabad just reminded anything but hell to the citizens with the unlimited number of potholes, bad drainage system, and unending traffic snarls. All sections of Hyderabad Public including the significant section of settlers imposed faith on TRS in last year’s GHMC elections.

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao immediately made his son, KT Rama Rao as the Municipal Minister of the state and the latter promised to transform the city in 100 days as a part of his father’s bid to make the city a Global City. But it is almost a year but things have only gone bad to worse. KTR himself announced that he is feeling as helpless as the citizens but can not do anything until the rains recede.
But everyone in the city is aware that the roads are worse even before the rains and neither the government nor GHMC paid any attention to them. This is the rarest of scenario when TRS government is found searching for an answer. The otherwise very vocal KTR is also searching for words to defend the government. KCR who is a master in handling the crisis got with a plan to erase the bad memories.
Telangana government pushed the center for immediate security commission permissions for Metro Rail Stretch between Miyapur and SR Nagar. They are planning to bring the stretch into operation from Dussehra all of sudden so that the metro rail will erase the memories of bad roads to the people. And again, TRS supporters will be going up that it does and also will pray that the plan does not get derailed in the last minute like how it happened several times in the past.
