If there is one thing that is extremely constant in Andhra Pradesh, politics, it would be the absence of former chief minister YS Jagan in the Assembly House.
Jagan has made it a habit to avoid Assembly sessions, regardless of the nature of the proceedings. In the last couple of years, Jagan has made it to the Assembly session only on a couple of occasions, and that is also for customary reasons to maintain his attendance.
Now that the Assembly sessions are going to start on August 17, Jagan has again met with his party representatives, including MLAs and MLCs to discuss the strategy to be followed.
This meeting that was originated to discuss this strategy for the upcoming Assembly sessions has ended in the most ironic way possible. Jagan has instructed his MLAs not to attend the upcoming Assembly session.
The irony here is that the meeting that originated to discuss the strategy for the upcoming assembly session resulted in Jagan, advising his representatives not to go to the assembly in the first place. Jagan will anyway not be attending the assembly, and now he has instructed his representatives also to do the same.
As we had reported earlier, Andhra Pradesh is one of the very few states in India where the opposition leader has absolutely zero interesting in raising the public voice in the assembly when it matters the most.
