Andhra Pradesh is possibly one of the very few states in India, where the unofficial yet statutory opposition leader has no interest in attending the assembly session whatsoever.
Former chief minister YS Jagan, who faced a bad defeat in 2024 as his YSRCP went from 151 seats to 11 has made it a habit to avoid the assembly sessions at all times.
Now the stage is set for the assumption of Andhra Pradesh assembly sessions from August 17, and the Government is preparing for the same. In the meanwhile we have Jagan and his ICP representatives who are getting together to discuss the assembly process.
Jagan is going to meet the Assembly representatives of YCP tomorrow and discuss the strategy that is to be followed for the upcoming Assembly election.
But the chemical thing here is that Jagan himself would obviously be staying away from the Assembly session like he had been doing for the last couple of years. Moreover, his party public representatives have also been very silent in the Assembly sessions thus far.
One can only wonder what could be the positive outcome from this Assembly level meeting that Jagan is holding tomorrow. There is no possible realistic outcome at the public level as Jagan and his team of MLAs would anyway be staying away from the 4-day assembly session starting from August 17.
