The Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the other day visited Nandigama. He went to a family which lost their son when he went swimming into the deep waters of Krishna River during Pushkaralu. Jagan is there to ‘Odarpu’ them. But then as usually in his style, he tried to fire salvos on the state government.

He alleged that government’s negligence and encouragement to Sand Mafia resulted in this death. He alleged that TDP leaders are resorting to massive Sand Mafia which is leading to huge pits in the river. It was then, the victim’s uncle, Hanumantha Rao intervened and questioned Jagan why he is resorting to politics at such time.
Hanumantha Rao also added that it happened due to their bad luck and has got nothing to do with the government. He also reminded how the government immediately resorted to relief measures but could not save the guys. But then Jagan did not care for that and continued his political speeches.
Few people also reminded Jagan about how the Chief Minister announced Three Lakhs exgratia to the family and how Minister Devineni Uma handed over the amount the next day itself. They asked how the Opposition leader’s Odarpu will help the family. Jagan went on to say that he will help the family when his party comes to power and after some time, he quickly realized that is not going to help and promised the family to send some aide through his party leaders.
