It is not uncommon for politicians to change their stance once they step into power. They promise everything to the public while in opposition, but most end up doing something atleast to seek votes again.
However, YS Jagan’s case is a bit strange. Among all Telugu chief ministers, whether in power or opposition, only Jagan’s old videos with his aggressive speeches and promises to the people seem like evergreen content.
For every controversy, there is mostly an old video of Jagan speaking in quite the opposite way to what is happening now that he is in power.
Whether it’s his speeches on Special status, Polavaram, or Industries, people dig up these old videos and use them to counter YSRCP supporters who find it difficult to respond.
The same is happening now with the volunteers too. In opposition, Jagan emphasized the importance of maintaining data secrecy for Aadhar, PAN, etc. attacking TDP government, but now he is having volunteers gather this crucial data on their personal phones.
It is no exaggeration to say that for everything, there is a counter video of Jagan’s speeches from his opposition time, and these old videos are always active on social media, silencing YSRCP supporters.
