YS Sharmila once again took sharp digs at her brother and YSR Congress Party chief Jagan. The Congress leader alleged that Jagan is planning another padayatra only to reclaim power.
Sharmila questioned why Jagan failed to complete the irrigation projects initiated by their father, late YSR, under the Jalayagnam scheme. She also asked why many of his election promises remained unfulfilled during his tenure.
She then targeted what she called the biggest contradiction in Jagan’s rule. Sharmila asked why liquor continued to flow freely despite his promise of prohibition.
The AP PCC chief alleged that Jagan earned crores through an alleged liquor scam. She further claimed that Rushikonda was left barren under his administration.
Sharmila also questioned Jagan’s accessibility as Chief Minister. She asked whether he was ever among the people during his term.
She added that even party leaders struggled to get appointments with him. According to Sharmila, Jagan showed little interest in engaging with his own cadre.
YS Sharmila has remained at odds with her brother due to property disputes and is now a direct political rival. Her latest remarks underline the deep personal and political divide between the siblings.
