AP Congress PCC chief YS Sharmila held a press conference on Monday. The primary objective of the meet was to hit out at Jagan’s “saitan sainyam”.
Sharmila who set up her party claiming to be YSR’s heir has turned into YSRCP chief Jagan’s worst nightmare. On Friday, Vijayamma released a note to media signed by her.
Vijayamma said that Jagan cheated his niece and nephew among other things. She expressed anguish that her daughter’s children did not get an equal share in YSR’s property.
The Jagan media has been retaliating ever since. They argue that the signature was either fake or the entire letter was fabricated by Sharmila who forced her mother to sign it.
They said Jagan had already given Sharmila around Rs 200 crore and the rest of Jagan’s property was earned by Jagan through his investments. Many YSRCP leaders are spreading the narrative all over media.
But not one to bow down, Sharmila has once again blamed her brother and his supporters of spreading false stories about her. But there is a section of Andhra Pradesh people who feel that Sharmila is using her party position to settle scores with her brother instead of talking about people’s issues. She is at her sharpest when she hits out at her estranged brother, they say.
Since it is a family problem, Sharmila and Jagan must fight it out through mediators. Their property battle is of no use for the common man in Andhra Pradesh. But as they say, Sharmila seems to think everything is fair in love and war.
