Today is Rakshabandhan but Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister, Sharmila is struggling to make her career.
After toiling hard for her brother when he was in the Opposition, Sharmila was shown the door out of Andhra Pradesh completely after Jagan became the CM.
The differences are also so big that they even avoid facing each other at YSR Ghat.
Sharmila became close to ABN Radhakrishna on the principle ‘Enemy’s Enemy is a friend’.
After struggling in Telangana politics, there is no light at the end of the tunnel for Sharmila and she is in talks with Congress high command to merge the party.
On Rakshabandhan day, Sharmila skipped tying Rakhi to her own brother and went to Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
The announcement of the merger is expected in a day or two. So Sharmila is seeking the brotherly love from Rahul Gandhi which was absent in Jagan.
Rumors are strong that Sharmila wants to continue in Telangana politics but the Congress high command wants to send her to Andhra Pradesh to Jagan. In that case, Congress will look to eat into Jagan’s support base in Christians and Reddys using Sharmila.
