Sowbhagyamma Adds More Pressure On Jagan

YS Sowbhagyamma Speech

APCC chief YS Sharmila emphasized to the people of Pulivendula that the upcoming Kadapa parliament elections would symbolize a choice between crime and justice. She spoke at a roadshow alongside YS Vivekananda Reddy’s wife, YS Sowbhagyamma, and daughter, Dr. Suneetha Narreddy.

Sharmila accused the state’s chief minister of shielding the suspects in Viveka’s murder case. She criticized the delay in justice and the politicization of the investigation, particularly faulting the chief minister for withdrawing the CBI investigation plea.

Sharmila urged voters to consider the legacy of her family and the pursuit of justice in their electoral decisions.

YS Sowbhagyamma, speaking later, recounted her husband Viveka’s final wish to see Sharmila become Kadapa MP before his passing. She urged voters to back Sharmila for the position, stating that she was the true heir to her father, Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and encouraged them to support her candidacy.

Earlier Sowbhagyamma had asked, “Even after CBI included Avinash Reddy in the list of accused in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, is it appropriate for a person holding the position of CM to support him? Jagan has no faith in the country’s highest investigating agency but believes that the accused is speaking the truth. She commented that Jagan himself is proving himself unfit to be the chief minister.

YS Sharmila expressed gratitude to Sowbhagyamma for her support, stating, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to Sowbhagyamma, the wife of my beloved uncle Vivekam. He wished to see me as an MP, a dream that remained unfulfilled. Yet, now, the chance has arisen. Let’s unite to honor Vivekam’s last wish. I thank Sowbhagyamma for urging the people of Kadapa to vote for me, to elect me as their MP, and to restore the governance of Rajanna (YSR).”

YS Sharmila and Dr. Narreddy Sunitha’s relentless questioning is putting immense pressure on Jagan. Their constant engagement with the media and public, coupled with their widespread campaigning, is leaving Jagan without respite. Their questions remain unanswered, leaving Jagan vulnerable.

Sharmila and Sunitha’s words strike Jagan with force, challenging every statement he makes during the campaign. Past election promises are being scrutinized and criticized.

The Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency has become a focal point statewide, with even the chief minister’s own sister launching scathing attacks against him. Sunitha, having lost her father, stands firmly by Sharmila’s side.

In response, Jagan has deployed his wife, Bharti, for door-to-door campaigning in Kadapa. However, she faces scrutiny and protests, unable to provide satisfactory answers, such as why Jagan’s image appears on farmers’ passbooks.
