The Kadambari Jethwani case, which had been somewhat overshadowed by the Tirupati fake Laddu controversy, has seen significant developments over the past few days. Two major breakthroughs occurred: the arrest of YSRCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar and the legal move by IPS officer Kanthi Rana Tata seeking bail.

Vidyasagar had gone into hiding following the exposure of the case involving Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani, where serious allegations, including kidnapping, were made. He had evaded authorities for some time, staying in Mumbai and Delhi, but was eventually tracked down and arrested at a resort in Dehradun on Saturday.

After being produced before a local court in Dehradun, he was brought to Vijayawada under a transit warrant. Upon arrival, Vidyasagar underwent medical tests at a government hospital before being presented to the 4th ACMM judge, who remanded him in custody until October 4. He is now being held in jail as the investigation proceeds.

In parallel, IPS officer Kanthi Rana Tata, one of the high-profile officials involved in the case, has approached the High Court seeking bail. This case has already led to the suspension of multiple officers, including PSR Anjaneyulu, Kantirana, and Vishal Gunni, showing the severity of the alleged offenses and the involvement of prominent figures.

Kadambari Jethwani had lodged complaints with the police multiple times, escalating her case from the police commissioner to the Ibrahimpatnam police. With Vidyasagar’s arrest, the case is advancing, though the full extent of the conspiracy is still being investigated by police. Special teams had been formed to capture Vidyasagar, and their efforts culminated in his arrest, marking a significant step in this ongoing legal saga.
