YSR Congress Legislators from the Capital region continue not to take the agitations of Amaravati farmers seriously. Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi made very casuals remarks on the Amaravati capital movement which has been going on for close to 600 days now.
“What is happening in the capital is only a photo agitation. Amaravati development would take place only with Chief Minister Jagan. The farmers are yet to meet me on their issues. If they come, I will work hard to solve their problems. Development work in the capital region will begin soon,” she said.
“There is no use meeting me on roads and giving Requisition Letters. They should have directly met me and tell me their problems,” she added. Farmers have tried to meet the MLA when she is going to the inauguration of a secretariat in the constituency. Police have taken some farmers into their custody and later released them after the MLA left the place.
The farmers are fuming at the comments of the MLA and the arrests of the farmers.
