After the results of the AP elections, the YSRCP cadre was completely disaffected. Y S Jagan also became silent for a few days without any positive results. After that, he toured his own constituency, Pulivendula. There was a situation where he had to face protests from the party ranks on his own soil.
The party cadre is not fully active. On the other hand, by the time of the local body elections, the YSRCP cadre may leave for other parties like TDP, Jana Sena, BJP, or Congress. Only a few months have passed since the formation of the new government in AP.
From now on, if the government is questioned about the election promises, development, and welfare programs, people will not pay much attention. As part of this, they started making comments that peace and security in the state have completely deteriorated.
It is being discussed that Jagan is trying to politicize a recent murder in Vinukonda. Even though the SP himself has revealed that Vinukonda’s murder has nothing to do with politics and that old factions are responsible for the murder, many TDP leaders are alleging that Jagan has started a conspiracy to bring a bad name to the government by creating a peace and security problem in the peaceful AP.
On the other hand, it seems that Jagan’s letter to the Prime Minister, stating that peace and security have deteriorated in AP and requesting an appointment to explain the situation, is part of this move. The governor submits reports to the center on the situation in the state.
Some TDP leaders allege that behind Jagan’s writing to the Prime Minister about the state’s situation, there might be an idea to attract the attention of the national media and prevent AP from getting investments.
But the YSRCP seems to be planning to make the people oppose the government by the time of the local body elections if mud is thrown on the government already. There is a discussion that YCP is planning to carry the campaign that people are against the new government into the next election if they can reduce the strength of the alliance in local body elections.
