A defamation suit of Rs. 100 crores has been filed against model and actress Poonam Pandey for faking her death. An individual named Faizan Ansari filed this complaint in Kanpur.
Recently, Poonam Pandey’s manager announced that she died due to cervical cancer. The very next day, Poonam released a video stating that she is very much alive but faked her death to raise awareness of cervical cancer. Her move was criticized by many and people lashed out at her for using death to promote awareness of cervical cancer.

The complainant Faizan Ansari filed a case on both Poonam and her husband Sam Bombay for allegedly trivializing cancer by faking death.
