Telugu-born NRI Bavikati Jayaram Naidu has received a rare honour in the United States of America, where a street has been named after him in Texas in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of medicine.
Born in Peddakothalapalli of Vidapanakallu village in the Anantapur district, Naidu relocated to the United States in 1968 and currently resides in Texas. In Texas, he established a 300-bed hospital dedicated to treating heart-related conditions.
Naidu’s philanthropic efforts extend beyond the United States to his hometown. In 1997, he invested Rs. 20 lakhs to build a hospital in his village. Furthermore, he has contributed to his village by establishing a water purification plant, a marriage hall, and a computer lab in a local high school. Additionally, Naidu annually provides scholarships to deserving students in his village based on merit.
