Acclaimed South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, renowned for his role in the Oscar-winning movie Parasite, was discovered dead inside a car in Seoul. Reports suggest that he passed away by suicide. He was 48.
Allegedly, Lee was under police scrutiny regarding suspected use of marijuana and other psychoactive substances. This drug-related controversy led to the loss of numerous film and television opportunities for the beloved actor.

Lee initially debuted in acting through the television series Lovers and soared to global fame with his role in the 2019 Oscar-winning masterpiece, Parasite. His most recent appearance was in the film Sleep. He leaves behind his wife, actress Jeon Hye-jin, and their two sons.
