Dhanush’s ambitious project Captain Miller which was set in the independence era was supposed to be released for Sankranthi, along with Tamil and other languages. But due to huge competition, the makers postponed it to January 25th, a day before Republic Day.
The backing of Asian Multiplexes Pvt Ltd and Suresh Productions will help the movie to have a bigger release in Telugu. The makers have announced paid premieres in the early morning of January 25th.
The makers are banking on Dhanush’s popularity in Telugu States to work. The Paid Premieres strategy also worked for Dhanush’s previous film, Sir.
The movie also stars the Telugu hero Sundeep Kishan.
Actress Priyanka Mohan is familiar to Telugu audiences and Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar is also popular here.
This Republic Day weekend is going to be dominated by Dubbing films. Along with Captain Miller, Siva Karthikeyan’s Ayalaan is also releasing in Telugu.
