A legal case was lodged against AIMIM leader and Chandrayanagutta MLA Akbaruddin for verbally threatening an on-duty police officer. A video capturing Akbaruddin’s altercation with the police officer went viral across social media platforms, prompting the Santosh Nagar police to take legal action against him.
During an address at a campaign event in Lalitabagh, Hyderabad, Akbaruddin Owaisi reportedly threatened Sub-Inspector Shiva Chandra, instructing him to vacate the premises. The police officer had requested Akbaruddin to adhere to the Model Code of Conduct and conclude the meeting within the stipulated time.
DCP Rohit Raju stated that a case has been filed against Owaisi under IPC section 353 along with several other sections in response to the incident.
