Bolstered by victories in the assembly elections of Karnataka and Telangana, the Congress Party is aiming to maintain its momentum in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Recently, Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, publicly extended an offer to Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar.
During an Ediga community event, Shivakumar disclosed that he had proposed to Shiva Rajkumar to contest in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. “He mentioned his current commitments with ongoing film shoots,” said Shivakumar. “I emphasized that while movies can happen at any time, the opportunity to enter the Lok Sabha isn’t always available. I urged him to consider our proposal.”
However, reports indicate that Shiva Rajkumar, affiliated with the Ediga community, politely declined Shivakumar’s offer, affirming his family’s decision to refrain from politics.
