EC Directs An Inquiry On BRS Candidate

The Election Commission has directed an inquiry into the statements made by Huzurabad BRS candidate Padi Kaushik Reddy. During the final day of campaigning, Kaushik delivered emotionally charged remarks to the public.

He expressed that if the people ensured his victory, he would join the ‘Vijaya Yatra’ on December 3; otherwise, people would engage in a ‘Shava Yatra’ (funeral). These statements quickly gained traction on social media platforms.

In response, the Election Commission has tasked local election officials with investigating this matter. Meanwhile, polling in Telangana is scheduled for tomorrow, with the results expected to be announced on December 3.
