There is a sudden twist in the ongoing electoral proceedings in Telangana. The state’s DGP, Anjani Kumar, faced suspension by the Election Commission due to an alleged breach of the election code.
At present, the EC hasn’t disclosed the specific reasons behind Anjani Kumar’s suspension, but an official statement from them is anticipated shortly. Meanwhile, speculations suggest that the suspension might be linked to Anjani Kumar’s reported meeting with TPCC President Revanth Reddy earlier in the day, where he allegedly congratulated Reddy for his perceived success.
Reportedly, such actions during an active electoral process go against the election code, prompting the EC to instruct Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to officially suspend Anjani Kumar.
