Fire Accident At Vizag Steel Plant

On a Saturday evening, there was an explosion at the Visakhapatnam steel plant’s blast furnace-3. Thankfully, there have been no reported injuries or damage to property, and the fire has been successfully contained.

Workers at the blast furnace-3 explained that the incident occurred when slag in the furnace caught fire. Slag is the rocky waste material that gets separated from metals during the process of smelting or refining ore. The quick response from the authorities helped prevent any harm, and the situation is now under control at the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
