Earlier this year, Hyderabad organized its inaugural Formula E event under the leadership of the BRS-led government. Plans were in place for the second season to take place next year. However, an official announcement from Formula E suggests that the Hyderabad E-Prix 2024 might not be held.
According to Formula E’s statement, there are concerns regarding the feasibility of conducting the race as originally intended. This apprehension arises from a letter received from the recently established Congress-led government of Telangana.
Formula E has initiated discussions seeking prompt clarification regarding the contractual obligations outlined in the agreement and their potential impact on the scheduled race. These discussions commenced immediately after the elections. The Hyderabad E-Prix, initially slated for February 10, 2024, is currently under scrutiny for its feasibility.
