IIT Students File Complaint Against A Filmmaker

Recently, a complaint was lodged against a filmmaker and an IIT Bombay professor for expressing supportive views on Palestine amid the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Delving into the details, Sharmista Saha, a faculty member in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at IIT Bombay, invited filmmaker Sudhanva Deshpande for a guest lecture within the academic realm. During the virtual lecture held on November 6, Sudhanva addressed the Israel-Palestine War, advocating for Palestine.

In response to his remarks, a group of students reported Sudhanva and Sharmista to the police. Concurrently, the video featuring Sudhanva went viral on social media.
