On New Year’s Eve, Hyderabad’s police conducted several checks for drunk driving throughout the city. In total, 1241 cases were recorded from 8 PM on December 31st to 6 AM on January 1st.
The highest number of cases were reported in Miyapur (253), followed by Kukatpally (123), Madhapur (98), Narsingi (81), Jeedimetla (80), KPHB (75), and Alwal (73). Of these cases, 1239 involved male individuals, while 2 involved females.

The Traffic Police commended the extensive enforcement efforts and road safety plans by Cyberabad Traffic Police, noting that these measures led to the prevention of major road accidents across Cyberabad.
